Story: Five girls will exercise with you in way different ways, and that troubling body fat percentage will go down by 1000%! Maybe. I have no idea actually. And that's about it. Yea.

You probably think it's cause they want to lose weight or fit into some nice clothes or try to audition or make their own reality show, but no... they're all aiming to become idols. IDOLS!? God damn it it's Seiyu's Life all over again isn't it?! Well, not exactly. You see, only two episodes actually focus on idol stuff, and the last episode is basically just a music video (but at least the song and dance is better than in Seiyu's Life).

Each episode outside of that focuses more on what the show actually promised, which make me relieved. And it also got variety in how it handles it too. They contain a variety of routines, such as push-ups, sit-ups, spine twists, dance, yoga, stretches, trunk training, and taichi. And its pretty informative and does a good job in how they handle things (including making them realistic in how the girls kind of struggle in the exercises and sweat a bit but still press on anyway toward their dream, which is pretty cool of them to do so kudos to them for doing that)

For four minutes, they surprisingly do a nice job in the pacing when it comes to informing you about the routines as well as seeing them do it (the routines not... you know, don't get the wrong idea). Ok, seeing count to ten while they do the routines is a bit of a time consumer and does drag in some parts, but you do see the routine in different angles (thankfully there is not a lot of fanservice aside from a few cringing scenes) and they do talk about some other stuff about themselves and such, so that's why it doesn't bother me that much.

The first few episode mainly focus on introducing the girls as they do exercises and counting, later on, they interact more and do stuff like check out exercise equipment and work together on something, so its nice to see that there is some variety outside of breaking the fourth wall. Oh, and speaking of which, there are times when the girl talks to the cameraman whom we never see (cause of that he reminds me of that colonel from Kancolle and is just as unimportant and uninteresting) except for those instances where one of the girls interacts with the voiceless cameraman and we suddenly get a different angle perspective (whose the second camera dude?)

Though honestly, I can definitely see people hating this anime. It seems like an excuse just to have cute girls in weird poses, that and some episodes are pretty dull and boring. Sometimes I just want it to end and get to the ending song, other times I wish that an episode was longer, it's a weird thing. I give credit for trying to make this type of anime entertaining for those who really don't care about fitness or just want to watch some nice visuals and be entertained by its simplistic nature, but I think it only succeeded in some aspects. Not handled the best, but then again, it could have been worse... *cough*TrainingWithHinako*cough*

Animation: Ya know, the animation is surprisingly fluid. When they exercise, it feels natural, lip syncing is pretty good too, even when the girls dance its impressive (even though its obvious CG and sometimes they use stilted animation at the end song, though during the training sections the designs look cute). Background is nothing special however, but hey, they actually colored in the background characters and gave them different looks, and for a short anime like this, that is amazing :D

Sound: Voice acting is pretty basic, nothing special, but its not bad either. Everyone does a fine job doing their lines (though its weird hearing them and their mini selves is kinda... weird). The ending song that they do sing in the last episode is actually a nice song and topped with a dance routine to boot (with a simple easy to do dance also).

Characters: What would be a fun show without some fun characters? Well, sadly they're not as interesting as the setup and routines themselves. I don't know if I could call them generic, they just sound basic and are just mostly tokens you'd see in plenty of other moe anime like this.

There's the token happy everyman who wants to try her best and never give up and wants to be friends with everyone (Asami, I think)... but she's different cause she loves soft serve ice cream... that makes a three dimensional character right? Right?

There's the token tsundere who tries to be serious to those around her, but isn't so good at it. Also she has to have a small chest and want bigger boobs (Eryi).

There's the nice ojou type girl, who is mature, kind, rich, and has a huge chest (Shizuno).

There's the shy girl with glasses who wants to try to be more social (Yuu).

Yeah there is nothing special about them and not much stands out... however there is one standout in the cast: Tachibana Shion (no not that Shion). There probably is another character like her, but I haven't from the anime I've seen. Anyways, she's easily the best character in this. She's mysterious, calm, and level-headed, but that's not what makes her stand out from the rest.

Shion (whose real name is Akiko but she goes by Shion) claims to be a dark angel descendant of the Debrae and plots to take over the world and open the vortex from the demon world... I think that's what she is. To be honest its hard to memorize her lines but she's still as hilarious and entertaining a character as you can get. Shion even has her soft sides and is a much better tsundere than... whatever her name was (Eryi).

Enjoyment: Mainly came from Shion, the song, and some of the exercises and stuff. It's a fine show and it knows what it wants to be, and I think its the best they could come up with... aside from better characters XD

Overall: If you got time to kill and want to learn how to exercise, this might be one to check out. FINISHED!

(^Whoa, he looks like Rhett from Good Mythical Morning don't he? Lol :P)

Pros: Tachibane Shion, ending song is cute, animation is surprisingly fluid, nice mix of CG and 2D, actual background character designs, informative on exercise, little to no fanservice, good pacing, thankfully doesn't focus much on idols as I thought.

Cons: The other characters are bland, idol parts are boring, character screen time is horribly off balanced, voice work (while nice) is generic, backgrounds are nothing special, the fourth wall breaking and few cringing scenes, last episode is literally a music video.

As someone who works out regularly, I can appreciate that they do the exercises correctly.  I imagine this is mainly to get fat, lazy otaku to start exercising as most of the exercises are not really that advanced.

It's rather heavy on the fanservice and I would like a more serious version with more advanced exercises down the road but this is better than nothing.
