Follows Rikuo Nura who trying to escape his fate, as he is 3/4 human and 1/4 yōkai.Trying to be good in order to avoid becoming a yōkai, despite his grandfather's wish that Rikuo succeed him as the Third Head of the Nura Clan.He eventually relieve that his yōkai blood will lead him into this fate and decides to take up the position of the Third Head. Many obstacle are there stop him or take possession of his position, and he must gather friends and allies, a new ayakashi under his banner of "Fear".

Like any anime that is produced they never disappoint, are that it beautiful..They are able to give the tone and lighting that is needed. Opening and endings i say the did great with the opening but the ending are boring skip them.

The soundtrack has so much variety that something for everyone. Each song is very unique, they are also possesses very different emotion. I love the opening but i feel like the second one doesn't match up with the animation. If is was something eles then yea it may have work . Ending i think they could have pick something better but don't know maybe your into the music.

Main Only:

Rikuo Nura: As the protagonist of the series, we naturally follow him during his adventure of being the third and current head of the household. Tho at the beginning he want nothing to do with this. As a 13 year old with only 1/4 of his blood be that of a yōkai he has a lot riding up on him. As danger from other yōkai appear, his yōkai blood awakens.As the story progress he switches into his yōkai form to become the Master of all yōkai.

Opinion: Human form remind me of like a little brother charater to me and yōkai remind me of like a guy that i would want to date i don't know

Tsurara Oikawa: Also know as Yuki-onna to her comrades, she is a yōkai, Rikuo's trusted attendant and part of Rikuo's new "Hyakki Yakō". Whenever Rikuo is in his day form she get over protective and she doesn't want to see him hurt, but when is his yōkai form, she finds him very reliable and magnificent.She seems to have inherited her mother's trait for falling for the Supreme Commanders of the Nura Clan. She also has a fear of Yura as she is an onmyōji and a rivalry with Kana.

Opinion: My favorite charater of all just because of her im going to write a fanfic for her

Yura Keikain: An onmyōji of the Keikain House who specializes in shikigami, she can manage four at once impressing even Nurarihyon. The shikigami that she is able to call on are, Rokuson the deer, Bukyoku the samurai, Tanro the white wolf and Rentei the koi fish

Opinion: easily fooled, but dose strong as a female and for her young age

Kana Ienaga: Kana is Rikuo's childhood friend. She is hinted to have some affection for Rikuo, as she gets jealous seeing Rikuo and Tsurara together. After being saved by Night Rikuo she start to fall for him. as the series go on she seem to be need of saving a lot.

Opinion: Bitch that is all

I wasn't expecting to like it at all but with ever thing that in this I wish there was another season after the second but you can have anything

Thank to all he category that i give this a 8. If you like this anime. Check out Kekkaishi which share with the protagonist inherited after their grandfather and differ live when it came to night and day or Inuyasha which follows a half demon that help out humans

From the start:

I was attracted to this anime because I prefer manga/anime that involves yokai or a plot about yokai/fugitive japan, just historical fantasy stuff.

"Nurarihyon No Mago" stands for Nurarihyon's grandson. (Nurarihyon's a great, high ranking, yakuza, ancient demon/yokai)

It's a little bit slow, as in the first season I'm referring to. Probally like the first five episodes of the series of the first season the main character "Rikuo Nura" is 3 parts human and some other number yokai/demon. The reason he got on my nerves is because he's a very winy character in the first season, the story line is in the first season he dosent want to except his yokai bloodline as his heritage, so he tries to be a goody, goody acting human acting as nice & trying to fit in with human society as possible. He dosent realize he seriously need's to take on his yokai blood and lead his grandfathers clan in success until one of his grandfather's clan members rebel against him to have him killed because of his wish to deny his demon blood and live a human life. After that situation Rikuo realize's he must take on the clan's burden and lead his grandfather's night parade of 100 demons back into glory days of when his father used to lead. All in all, the first season is a little slow moving, but not bad, just have patience and keep watching.

The second season:

VERY, VERY much better than the first.The story line really pick's up and get's serious. Rikuo has a classmate that is an omnyoji (a demon/yokai exorcist) that is visited by her brother, who notices that Rikuo is a demon right at first glance. Him, Rikuo and his sister the omnyoji get into a conflict. But anyway, the omnyoji's brother comes to give her a message about coming back to Kyoto because of an ancient demon that's a sworn enemy to her omnyoji clan has been resurrected. Rikuo then realizes that her clan and his own yokai clan share the same enemy, the ancient demon who is an enemy to her clan was an opponent to Rikuo Nura's grandfather 400 years ago. Rikuo is yet to learn the tragic story of his father's death is lead to this ancient demon and that Rikuo's grandfather and the omnyoji's direct ancestor attempted, conquered and sealed this ancient demon centurys ago.
