This is the average routine in the day and the life of Takumi.Mayoi Neko Overrun follows another seemingly average day in the life of Takumi. With his sister away from the shop, having gone to save someone else in need of help, Fumino takes it upon herself to wake him up so that he won't be late for their usual walk to school together, giving him a glimpse of her blue and white striped panties in the process. Definitely an underrated anime. It's very enjoyable and doesn't EXACTLY fall under the typical harem cliche. Although it definitely does fall under some.Story: 7Not much of one really. But that's also what is kind of fun about it. In the same fashion of seitokai no ichizon, there is barely any story or story developement and mainly episodic with a dash of drama (barely call it drama) every once in a while. The series isn't meant to be taken seriously by any means (one episode was based off of the boys being punched 15 miles into the woods and trying to survive naked, unrealistic but hilarious). So if you're looking for an in-depth plot, try Code Geass :PArt: 8Art is rather nice. Characters look good (cute girls hehe), also a typical looking main character. Animation is smooth and flows nicely. Not much else to be said. But one thing I appreciate is that there is a small amount of ecchi. Some enjoy the ecchi but I like it without, so thats a plus for me. Not a fan of series' relying on naked, hot girls for views. Characters: 8Characters are interesting but nothing new. I personally love Fumino because she is a turbo tsundere, and I am a huge tsundere fan :P. The main character is also pretty typical, but he's not annoying like some spineless, loser-kun characters like most harem animes. He is definitely tolerable and can sometimes be funny with his non caring mood. Most of the characters can be filed under a character type, but that certainly isn't a bad thing. It's almost impossible nowadays to be completely non-cliched. The characters are fun and work well together and there are, suprisingly, none that I despise. Enjoyment: 9Not sure what it is about this series but I am really enjoying it so far. I actually look forward to each episode each week. The episodes are all filler really but very fun at times. Never get bored watching and it has an odd unqiueness about it. I really can't explain it in words but it doesn't fall under any other harem type I've seen before. No mass of misunderstandings, no main character beings pummeled every second (well most of the time) and no random, pointless ecchi. With all these things in mind it all comes together nicely to build something pleasant and very enjoyable.Overall: 8If you're just looking for a good time and not in the mood for something deep to get involved with, this is the series for you. I don't think it's spectacular by any means but certainly worth a watch, even just for Fumino :P (although some probably find her annoying). Overall it is a decent series, with decent characters, a sub-par story but still just a fun ride. Give it a couple episodes and it'll grow on you.
