Just as cute and upbeat as the first season.
The addition of new characters keeps the shows pace moving and creates new situations and gags. Though they don't end up as developed as the main cast, they're still likeable and fun. The new characters also fulfill the purpose of getting paired up with anyone from the last season that didn't have an obvious bestie, but shipping bait aside, it doesn't take away from the show.
Speaking of shipping bait, Yoko and Aya's relationship is watered down completely to Aya being tsudere and Yoko being oblivious. Their interactions start to feel cheap after a while.
Overall the show keeps a consistent tone. It remains funny and heart warming. Plus there's plenty of Engrish to appreciate.
If you liked the first season then you should like this season too.
