Concrete Revolutio
コンクリート・レボルティオ~超人幻想~What if superhumans were real? Even better, what if every fabled superhuman existed at the same time, in the same place? Titans from outer space, life forms from a mystical world, phantoms and goblins from ancient times, cyborgs created by scientists, relics that rose out of the ruins of ancient civilizations. In another Japan, it’s not just a question of "what if"—it's a reality. (Source: Funimation)

There aren’t many anime as ambitious and complex as this one. I was genuinely shocked when I realised that Concrete Revolutio was commenting directly on events like the Vietnam War, and Japan’s (and other countries) involvement in it, and does so in a highly unique and intelligent manner. Although this anime can get confusing due to the sheer amount of ideas and themes in each episode, I admire Aikawa’s balls to tackle such controversial topics and turn it into a complex and highly entertaining anime.
