Princess Resurrection
怪物王女When Hiro Hiyorimi tries to save a beautiful young woman from certain death, he ends up a dead hero himself! However, since the drop-dead girl is Hime, daughter of the King of the Monsters, his "reward" is to come back as a not-quite-living soldier in her honor guard of horror! That means helping fight off the army of supernatural monstrosities Hime's siblings are unleashing against her in hopes of moving up the ladder of succession. And if facing off with vampires and zombies isn't bad enough, how can anyone be prepared for the REALLY weird ones, like were-sharks, pandas and killer dumplings? This sure as hell isn't the afterlife Hiro was hoping for, but the really sad part is that Hime is the good girl in all of this... or at least as close to good as you can come when you're on the wrong side of the gates of hell! Ah, horror, it's supposed to be dark and scary! But what if we had a horror that's supposed to be funny? Well, that's what Princess Resurrection is for.
Story... story... story....
The story is simple. A young teenage boy named Hiro Hiyorimi. Searching for his sister, he sees a hot girl. During his search, he is killed and only to be resurrected by a woman called Hime. Hime is the princess of and he must serve her as Hime's soldier. People are always after Hime. Later, a werewolf joins in to protect Hime named Riza Wildlerman and later, we meet a bunch of crazy characters like Sherwood and Reirei, a vampire. A series of hilarity ensues.
I love this anime's stories. It taught me that horror can be funny, and it can succeed. And the characters make it much funnier!
The animation isn't too bad. It's a 2007 anime, so it's not too bad for that time period! It's like animation started evolving during this time, so the animation is pretty nice for this time period of anime.
The sound is wonderful. I love the sound during the eye catch and the OSTs are wonderful. They set the "horror" setting up well!
The characters are the most enjoyable part. All of them are a lot of fun and you can't help but loving them.
Overall, I loved this anime and I highly recommend it for the month of October.
