Dennou Coil was densely packed with so many things to love. It's on of those few shows I've seen that's really raised the bar of standards for me.

The show creates an incredibly dense and complex world and mythology, but only reveals these it's mysteries slowly, piece by piece, only giving hints to what's going on under the surface of the story piece by piece. It does this in a way that I can really only compare to Shinsekai Yori or Evangelion.

My only complaint with the series would be that from time to time it could dole out it's exposition better; a lot of the time I was confused about what was happening. But once you have a handle on the events of the story, then letting the atmosphere and character's emotional journey be what you focus on while watching is rewarding in a way I can't describe. If your thing from storytelling is character drama, then Dennou Coil crafts characters that are so realistic and relatable you feel like you could reach out and touch them. It weaves themes of loss, pain, coming of age, and human connection in with it's narrative.

Not to mention that the production is absolutely stunning? The show has some of the most memorable music and consistently fantastic animation I think I've ever seen in an anime series. Even the CG looks incredible. The incredible animation and music really bring beautiful life to the shows most emotional moments. Especially in the final episode, all of the shows best elements come full circle to create something beautiful; emotionally, and artistically.

I just loved it, and I think everyone should watch it..

Where to begin! The characters were well-done, the animation was wonderful, and I always enjoyed hearing the noise Satchi made while it was moving. The story was really good. It started off calm and slow, but toward the end of the anime, I was zooming through the episodes. I didn't stop until I finished it and boy, was that some ending. If you want a tear-jerker yet at the same time, a fun anime, I highly recommend this. It's good, real good. It'll remind you of that fear of growing up you once had as a kid (or you might still have).

Sakuga.
There isn't really much to say, except "sakuga". And did I mention the good animation? If not, it's full of it.
