One of the difficulties of writing is the exposition. It is difficult to get all of the needed back-story and world building balanced and blended in with the rest of the story, action and characters. This is why I do praise anime and other media that can balance this well. Tegami Bachi and Harry Potter are a couple that I think of off of the top of my head and I really respect how those, and other forms of media actually bite the bullet and try to find a way of making the exposition interesting but not too copious.
 RWBY 2: world of remnant however, is the opposite. "We do not have to explain things in the show" Rooster Teeth thinks. "We can have Cortana front load the exposition in a bland and boring way and then force the audience to watch it so that the show will make sense. Now, we can give the shitty love triangle more time in the actual show and shove away the interesting parts.

Not much else really to say other than the animation is overly simplistic, but still looks slightly better than the actual series. The sound is forgettable (In fact i can't think of a single song used in it). There are zero characters. And, of course, I did not enjoy this even slightly.

Bottom line, actually blend the exposition into the show in a balanced and interesting way. Or at least try to anyway.

Learning more about RWBY is one of the greatest things Rooster Teeth could have done.  The World of Remnant is a short episode where they teach you more about the World of Remnant, the world in which RWBY is set in.
