Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade
リトルウィッチアカデミア 魔法仕掛けのパレードYou can tell witch training is not going swimmingly for the young sorceresses Akko, Lotte, and Sucy—they face expulsion for screwing up one class too many, and their only way out is if they successfully organize their academy's annual parade through a nearby town. But when they stumble upon the momentous discovery that the objective of the parade is to humiliate witches and commemorate their past subjugation, Akko decides it is time for a change: It is time to show the world how fantastic modern witches truly are! However, with the other girls struggling to keep up with Akko's grandiose ambitions, and everything from mischievous boys to slumbering giants getting in their way, maybe pulling it off will require not only all the magical prowess the pupils of Luna Nova Magical Academy can muster, but also a miracle. Those who enjoyed the first Little Witch Academia will be delighted to see the return of the character rich protagonists. Now a short length movie, Little Witch Academia: Mahou Shikake no Parade has reoccurring themes found in the first short animation. However, do not be turned away by this; the presentation and set up is extremely enjoyable and in no way boring and repetitive.
The amount of delight to be found in this second act from Trigger is spine tingling good and will leave you wanting an entire series.
So, don't hesitate, check out the magic to be found within this gem of a film!

This was amazing! I loved the addition of the three adorable new characters, and the way that the girls looked at a big, big problem and took it into their own hands, turning it into something that made everything ten times better! I can't really say much without spoiling the whole thing, but it was so good. The animation was beautiful as expected, there was visible character development and more elaboration on the characters than in the first Little Witch Academia, and the music was also so so pretty! I enjoyed it, and I would gladly watch it again!
