This single episode was released after airing of the show, but a clip of the end of the battle was shown at the end of episode 7. The reason why they didn't release it was because they didn't have voice actors for the charters at the time. If you enjoyed the 12 episodes, you'll enjoy this OVA.
The OVA takes after the same mood as Girls und Panzer‘s original run; having the perfect balance between exposition and combat sequences, the Anzio battle reminds viewers of everything that made Girls und Panzer so enjoyable.
