Rainy Cocoa

雨色ココア

Aoi Tokura is having a rough day. He’s used to being mistaken for a girl, but it’s even worse when a captivating stranger on the train calls him a creeper for staring a little too long. Aoi’s soaked by a sudden rainstorm and takes shelter at Rainy Color, a cozy café where the warmth of the staff compliments the sweet hot cocoa he’s served. When he falls into a job at the café he feels like things are finally looking up— until Keiichi Iwase, the man he couldn’t help but stare at on the train, shows up. Did this day just get worse, or better? (Source: FUNimation)

Right, This is your typical "cafe" show. (think polar bears cafe) we got our tropey cast of regulars, and all their little dramas and whatnot. :P

In any case, theres not a whole lot going on in terms of depth to the story or characters, but visually the show looks nice, and i GUESS can be enjoyable enough if you just want something short to pass the time.

While i wont be reccomending it anytime soon, it would be wrong to say its a bad show.

I watched this because I thought it was going to be gay but it wasn't. It's just a kinda cute SOL about some college boys and café workers... There's not much plot, it's just about the characters interacting and arguing and whatnot. The character animation seems a little simple, like it was someone's college project (though I've seen much better). I think the best part is definitely the voice acting and the short OP isn't bad. The characters fit the tropes for their hair color (temperament-wise) so they're not super complex but it does delve into how people don't really understand each other's personalities and how that causes miscommunication, so I'll give them that (basically the plot, there you go). I really wouldn't recommend watching this unless you feel some strong desire. It wasn't even as cute as I thought from the poster (the dog looks weird in animation). That being said i did stick with it just for this review. I would, however, like to see the guys doing some dirty things in a yaoi doujinshi so if anyone wants to draw that, it might make this actually worth watching.
