Season one had me hooked... with beautiful scenes, action, politics/drama and good character development.

So, what can I say. I think I enjoyed this show too much. Not for the 'deep story', nor the 'complex characters', but for the premise and the world the anime depicts.

A world where a Gate appears in Tokyo, linking modern day japan to a fantasy land set in the early middle ages.

While the anime barely skims the surface of the nearly endless stories to be told with this premise, I think it does a decent job at what it decides to tackle.

 I will say, I got a lot of mileage out of the ''military porn'' presented throughout the series. It has a strange patriotic vibe about it throughout. While seeing an ''otaku'' in military fatigues may put some people off. I think it handles the main character well enough, considering the situations he's put in.

It has a pretty relaxed vibe interspersed with some quite good action scenes. All the way to the very last episode I never felt lost or bored. 

I also have to mention the intro, while not on the level as say FMA:B or Steins gate. It got me hyped every time I started watching a new episode, i treasure that.

So, conclusion time. If you're interested in anything military themed, fantasy or even just looking for a charming anime to sit down and enjoy. I'd recommend this one.

for begin this i will say this is a anime who can be good but don't use his full potential because we got some nice things at the beginning and everything have completely down after some episode but thats stay cool... so lets begin !

About The Storywell.. you have probably know thats a gate who appear in Japan who are relied to a Fantasy World with Dragon , Cat Girl , Witch , Mage and Elfs.. etc.. they have begin on a great beginning with a lot of action but thats clearly the part with the most action in the anime.. i will not hide it after this , this is just not so related to the real goal.. thats not bad but at the beginning they have say like "u will have a lot of fking action and awesome fking things with explosion and others things !" but this is really not like that.. they have make a really great concept but don't use his potential at 100% they have turned too much after some unnecessary events thats look like they do whatever they want if you know what i mean.. i like the idea but they have used a lure at the beginning for promising something good and thats not what we expected... but dont worry this anime is good but for the side of the Story they have deceiving me by showing me something they don't have respected 

About The Animation and Sounds
this anime have sure great and awesome graphics this is very cool to watch with the background and the clarity of the color , for the Opening and Ending they are both cool and fix correctly with the anime i will leave you the link

About The Characters
yeah we have cool characters in it.. no doubt about it but hey lets talk about them .. ! ok o:

Yōji Itami / this is the main character we can say this is a Otaku but enrolled in the army , but this is a nice guy who care about the others and when someone need help he can't resist to help them this is pretty normal i think and he have a high rank in the army so we can say he is a little strong for a Green Soldier

Tuka Luna Marceau / a beautiful blonde elf with a shy personality she is a little cute because of his personality , a bad events have happen to her who make her a little sad about it you will discover it in the anime

Lelei La Rellena / this is a girl who are Mage not totally but she is a apprentice so she have a real Mage who guide her , but she really learn fast and i don't spoil but she gonna learn the Japanese really fast too so she can translate the language of the Fantasy World into Japanese or Japanese into Fantasy World language , so she is really helpful for translation between the 2 Worlds

Rory Mercury / she gonna take all the famous because this is a Gothic Loli and a lot of people say she look like Kuroneko from Oreimo , this is a Loli but... she is more old than you think .. she is pretty nice and bad ass because she is very strong and.. this a Demi-God for be short she is immortal , because of his little sadistic personality thats make her more interesting but im not finish... this is supposed to be a Priestess.. this is a little special

Piña Co Lada / daugther of the Empire in the Fantasy World "the bad guy who have attacked Japan when they have cross the gate" but she is not bad at all she is a honor knight but she have never face real war... we can say she have just a influence because of his father.. but she really want to be a knight , she have a great charm too she dont have super-power or things like that but she is a nice character i like her a little bit without forget his reaction sometimes about Japan

Kato El Altestan / thats the Mage who guide Lelei he is very funny for a old Mage he will make you laugh sometimes , he can be stupid too but he is not or.. idk this is a Mage anyway but a very funny one

About The Enjoyment
the beginning begin on a big note and have a lot of action but thats not gonna stay soo much like that but thats say enjoyable , the only is they look like to have promise something at the beginning and they don't have respected it but thats stay nice i have really like this anime but i don't jump on my chair but this is pretty nice you need to watch this when you gonna have the time

if i can recommand that hmm... i will say yes because thats probably gonna get a Season 2 and be more interesting , and the concept is a little awesome so.. you need to watch it just when you gonna have the time... the only problem is they have make a beginning like Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! a lot of things and action appear at the beginning but after this nothing like that will happen again this is look like a little lure or something.. but Gate : Jieitai Kanochi Nite Kaku Tatakaeri stay a nice little anime to watch when you want anime !

So i am in LOVE!! with this anime. The story is awesome, mixing fantasy and medieval warfare with modern day reality and tactics. And the politics! OH GAWD! I hope this anime goes for like 52 episodes. Long enough to delve and explore mostly every thing, politics on both sides backroom deals, alliances and betrayals.

-GATE REVIEW 1/4 COMPLETED EDITION-

Hello comrades, Visk here. I'm going to be doing a review of this show six episodes in because all the other cool kids are doing it and I feel like they're misrepresenting this cash grab on wheels. This show is bad, its not something I hate quite yet because its harmless but that doesn't change the fact its a bad show. Now with that crap out of the way, on to the review.

PART 1: STORY (Or lack of)
Follow anime man as he goes on a fantastic epic about meeting waifus' from exotic lands and making them fawn over him but for dramatic effect we have to do at least 2-4 time skips an episode. He is in the army to support his hobby and by 99 coincidences he leads a squad of his very own. You see, I have quite a bit of problems if you take this show seriously and write a review giving this show a 10 even if the presentation was so impressive that you could overlook such a shallow attempt to get sales. The problem is that on almost every front this show is one of the most lazy in the year of 2015. ):

PART 2: ART AND ANIMATION (I think the A in A-1 Pictures describes how they have 1 guy doing the art for their shows)
The prestigious A-1 shitters strike again with really inconsistent art and animation that never gets impressive but will casually stroll from average to ummmmmmmmmm...... I think funny is a harmless word to use for a show like this. I think its better this way with A-1 possibly doing a good show next season.

PART 3: SOUND (The music video for the only song of note has a guy on top of a tank playing a guitar, idk man)
The OST is painfully average which makes me happy. If this show had Rokka's OST I think I would have cried. It always seems like the bad shows get good OST's to blanket the bad writing which isn't the case in this show which, I guess, is a good thing. The opening song is killer but I think the music video is better than the op used in the show even if its not anime. I loved the H.O.T.D Opening and the Strike the Blood opening that the same band made, so, I guess its kind nice to see them here cushioning the blow of this show to my soft cranium. I hope they get used in good shows soon. The ending song was pretty standard and its kind of boring, so, who cares because I don't. 

PART 4: CHARACTERS (Gotta catch all those waifus ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°))
The timeskips kind of kill any attachment to the characters I might have gotten but clearly as I can fantasize about them being my sex slaves this wasn't the creators intentions. All the male characters look like they were designed by someone different and many of the female characters look like a different person designed each female character, maybe because they did. I could do a ton of parallels but I'll edit those in later if I get enough backlash. I'll just note the the two easiest ones. Lelena and Sinon, Marceau and Leafa. Personally, my waifu is Kurebayashi right now. I'm going to have to clean this up for the final version of this review but just understand that this show is generic as fuck right down to the core. This show has a character to pander to mostly every fetish in anime. Even has a monster girl in the 6th episode. 

PART 5: THE CONCLUSION AKA ENJOYMENT
I like this show ironically. I am also a masochist, so, I guess, that would make this show a very fun for me. The show is made in a way where I can just sit and watch it for episodes and not really get offended at the show. I can continue even though I know what I'm watching is horrible. Its like junk food or Arby's meat. I think the OP is the main reason why I watch this weekly because I like the song. I'm going to clean this review a ton after this show finishes but I'm pretty sure this is the core of my thoughts. If you like this show I'm sure you would like, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, a show that would appeal to a similar demographic but is very witty in how it satirizes the very thing it is while looking 10000 times prettier at that. I will also recommend, Welcome to the NHK, a show that is more or less the dark side of Saekano. With that I will now take my bow and go back to watching Planetes, its good FYI.

I first found this Anime through Animeshow.tv, and loved it immediately. It plays with 2 fascinating themes: the idea that a connection to a fantasy world exsite and what would a connection do to both worlds. The man focus's are on the main characters interactions with the girls and people of the land, and the Japanese government and military interacting with the people of the fantasy world. Overall its a brilliant show, with plenty of comedy for all anime fans. It also hits on serious ideas of transforming a Medieval World into a Modern One. 
 

Be advised that this serious is cleaner than the original Manga. The original Manga is much more violent and graphic, and should only be viewed by the strong of heart. One please with the Anime and Manga is KissAnime and KissManga respectively.

Looking forward to the anime. I just hope that the anime will follow the manga as close as possible. Because the manga is just so awesome^^
