I like things that break the status quo in their own ways. It’s good to have a standard sometimes, but it’s just about as fun to switch those around. And, hey, look at what we have here.

Witch Craft Works takes the ‘‘hero and damsel in distress’’ trope and flips it in an enjoyable way. As a person, I don’t consider myself very strong, and I appreciate strong female characters, so you can imagine my satisfaction when the pretty much only male character is the damsel, getting fought over by a bunch of witches. And by ‘‘fought over’’ I don’t mean those arguments that happen in harem-anime constantly, but instead literally fighting over him, or rather, the power that is sealed within him. Not that unique of a premise, honestly, but it works (Heh) for me.

Quantity over quality, they said when creating this cast. Because DAMN, it is a big cast. And the unfortunate thing is, they really aren’t the most complex or interesting. They introduced so many characters constantly in the first half that I lost count, and couldn’t recall any of their names afterward. Some of the characters are oddly placed too, some adding up to almost nothing, making me question what the point of them being there was. There really aren’t any clear villains either, and the sudden changes in alliances happened so fast I didn’t even get what was happening at some points.

It’s a bold move to incorporate 3D animation with 2D animation, but you know what? I’d say this one pulled it off decently. The visuals overall are on the better side… Nothing much more to add.

Overall opinions on the music: Loved the OP, loved the ED, and then the soundtrack itself was so odd that it’s not even easy to find its composer.

I think I covered quite the lot of the problems I have with this anime already, but the main one is its length. With as many faces as this, just twelve episodes ain’t gonna cut it, and the story itself moved so fast I couldn’t really even keep up with it. If this had a two seasons worth of content, then I’d probably be singing a different tune, but as it is… Meh.

I certainly loved the premise, and even quite a bit of its execution. But in general, this anime just felt quite chaotic. 7/10, don’t see a reason to really rate it higher or lower.

dam that's have been a long time that i don't have see a anime awesome like that .. and im pretty happy to have get this serie ! this anime have everytime action in each episode who are here to entertained you .. so yeah pretty awesome anime nothing bad to say about it i can say that's gonna be positive all the way.. !

About The Story
the story begin with a guy who go normally to school but a girl who are popular in the school take all the attention but she don't really give a fk about it and for be short they are classmate and this guy don't have soo much friends he don't really care about this and go normally to school but 1 day something happen after a task he have do for the class and the building just fall down on him but he don't die because someone come to his rescue and this is the Popular Girl who everyone like and she is a Witch with powerful power but she have the task to protect the guy from the evil witch .. why ? you will discover it in the serie , the story have action everytime and you will never be bored i can say they know what they are doing , and they will never change the real goal to protect the guy.. so i like that , and this is pretty fun this is not the big hardcore story  but thats perfect like that.. and i like the little idea about the girl who protect the guy thats make the anime more interesting to know what is gonna happen ? and some others cool thing but anyway i think you understand what i try to say.. !

About The Animation and Soundsthe graphics are correct and have a good quality so if you watch it .. watch it in Blu-Ray the magic effect are pretty cool too and simple at the same time , for the Opening and Ending , i like both of them but the Opening really fit with the little Romance story we have in it i will leave you the link for it

About The Charactersprepare yourself i have a lot of characters to talk about :3 because they are all nice and have some nice personality too that's not possible to hate someone in this anime.. !
Ayaka Kagari / that the famous girl who are popular at school but don't give a fk about it and let the people do whatever they want depend if you fk with her she will replace you , but she is very calm and have only 1 goal and only think about protecting Honoka he is like his master or something , she a Witch who use fire the most people call her the Flame-Witch and yeah she is the daughter of the boss of the Witch Workshop City , i think with this you can notice thats she will more than being strong but.. pretty Immortal if we can say this like that , a character who you gonna like for sure with his lovable personality and attitude.. !

Honoka Takamiya / the guy who have the protection of Ayaka , he don't really know what is going on but he got strike by the evil the most of the time so we can say his life have change a little bit , he very like Penguin so he have a lot of stuff about Penguin in his room and can make some crafting about Penguin , but anyway he is supposed to have something in him who make the others Witch to strike him , if you want to know what is it go watch it ! , and yeah he is a pretty nice guy too can be weak but not giving up so easily i will let you judge him like you want but he is cool okay ?

Kasumi Takamiya / she is the little sister of Honoka but who are like a Bro-Con for be more understand she look like to love his brother , but she is nice too you will discover more about it in the serie i don't want to spoil you something.. ! and she can pissed off if you do something to his brother.. !

Evermilion / this girl is fking awesome in Power and in Beautifulness you don't see her soo much but she very nice when i have see this characters my screen have begin to be the light of my room.. but yeah she have a attitude like "i dont give a fk everyone is too weak" interesting character but we don't see her soo much and she is very important to the story too 

Medusa / a another one who are awesome this character appear the most of the time in 3D this is the only one to appear soo much in 3D , she have a very nice look who fit to his name.. well everyone know what a Medusa is ... but yeah she have a lazy personality i will give you a example : oh fk this is too far.. let's give up i will stay home hidding | this kind of attitude i think you get it LOOOOl but i like her for a evil

Tanpopo Kuraishi / the Unlucky girl but this is a evil Witch who are funny because of what happen to her she is very stupid too and she will make you probably laugh sometimes , his power is too summon some evil rabbit.. yeah she can build a army.. but she is not soo strong.. :/ , she is with is 4 others friend who help each others for fighting but yeah :3

Mei Menowa / this one look very mature but she is funny too , i like his wolf outfit she look like a bad ass or something  and i think she is bad ass but not soo strong xD .. serious attitude but lazy the most of time and pet his wolf sometimes when this is not very the appropriate moment , she use his magic wolf for magic , i think she is the more strong in the group

Kanna Utsugi / his eyes are white the most of time she look like she lost his life or something like that but a little funny but not soo much more information about her , she use a Spellbook for fighting and some strange thing can come outside of it but weak -.-'

Rin Kazari / evil but shy but she can be serious in a fight , she use a bone dragon or a thing who look like that for fight i can say she is strong but not more than Mei not sure but anyway 

Kotetsu Katsura / the serious girl with glass who are a little strong she don't have a big role we see her but she don't talk soo much and the most of time she is calm , and for fight she have a staff

Chronoire Schwarz VI / Boss of the Witch Tower and have a summon or not sure named Wani he is a crocodile , so yeah she use like a power relied to crocodile but with water too , she can be very strong and anyway thats a boss this is sure she is strong , but a little nice power too , without forget his personality to like fight strong thing

Kazane Kagari / Boss of the Witch Workshop really powerful with just his melee fighting and when i say very strong she is strong as f**k , but a little idiot and funny but really serious , she got pissed off easily too and you will not be bored with her

Kyouichirou Mikage / a nice guy who you clearly not hate , he is a good guy and the teacher of the class but he can make you laugh a lot sometimes.. and have a interesting power that you will discover in the anime.. !

About The Enjoyment
this serie is very entertaining you will have fun to watch this anime for sure , and the little Romance in it is interesting but i think the Comedy and the Action take more the place that's have been a long time that i don't have see a anime fun like that who i have liked soo much and i need more ! so yeah this is a very funny anime this is guarranted... or not depend who you are... but im pretty sure that you will like it

i highly recommand this serie if you want to have fun , i got interested in it just by seeing the cover and the girl and im not deceived this anime is just awesome , and now he is 1 of my favorite i will miss a little bit this anime because of the fun i got to watched it , and yeah i think this anime is perfect like that don't have anything bad to say about it.. but this is just.... AWESOME !!!

With Witch Craft Works the story is a little lack luster. It does, however, have plenty of comedy scenes to make up for that and besides, it has one of THE BEST outro tunes I've heard in an anime in a while.

I looked at the title at first and thought that it was a harem anime. Even though there are a few jokes made about it, it's not actually a harem anime. It turns out that there are good witches and bad witches and the bad ones are bend on destruction, that's why I didn't rate the story that high, thankfully though, it doesn't focus on that. The focus is more of the relationship of the two main characters and what is so special about the male when really he seems very ordinary. It turns out it's sort of a Naruto situation with seals and such, but you have a very powerful and hot princess looking after him. That's pretty much the story in a nutshell, but there are interesting bits thrown in that add to it and make it more enjoyable.

The music in the anime is beautiful and the ending theme it infectious.

The characters and comedy make the story better by distracting from the fact that the story may not make sense at times.

Overall, It's a sweet title that's funny where it needs to be to make up for the story. Witch Craft Works is an enjoyable fake-harem title.

I'm pretty sure this anime classifies as a harem, but I honestly couldn't tell for a while because it was so backwards. I know there's a thing in harems where the guy gets rescued by superpowered chicks and whatnot, but the male lead should have some kind of redeeming quality. From my perspective Honoka's only redeeming quality is that he has a god tier witch inside him. Aside from that Honoka's (excuse my language) bitch-like ways can only be rivaled by Komatsu of Toriko, which is clearly evident from Ayaka's quote "I will protect you. You are my princess after all." I'd say Ayaka Kagari should be more the center of this harem than Honoka in all honesty. I mean aside from her figure she is kinda man-like (in my opinion).

Aside from Honoka being an over-emotional sham of a man, I somewhat enjoyed this anime. One thing that drew me in, but caught me off guard at first, was the unique roster of characters. I mean just look at the super strong but yet still feminine female protagonist. Almost every character, in my opinion, seemed somewhat original. I also appreciated the subtle connections the creators made between the characters and real world topics & folklore. Another thing that kept me in it was the action scenes. When I first saw CG effects in opener I thought "Oh here we go", but I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't overdo the CG and executed the animation very well. I'd say the best things about this anime are that it's visually pleasing and a different spin on an already established genre.

Welcome to Bitchcrap Twerks, easily the worst anime of the Winter 2014 Season (that I stuck with, I dropped a few worse shows). It's lazy, it's boring, it's random, it is everything that makes a bad show bad.

This is a show about the world's most boring protagonist (I call him Blandy McProtagonist) who winds up in a situation where he is forced to be protected by the supposedly-ungodly-attractive-but-is-really-kind-of-fucking-generic-looking student council president, who happens to be a witch. She must protect him from the evil Tower Witches, who seem to be labeled as evil for no real reason other than that they want Blandy for... some purpose or other. Also, they were never associated with any Tower so the name was kind of random.

So the girl, (who I call Mary Sue the Magnificent) has virtually no personality aside from being really protective of Blandy and otherwise just sits around with a dull expression getting pampered by the entire universe for who the fuck knows why. She is supposedly the most beautiful thing in the universe but have you seen her? She's not hideous or anything but she's so generic looking I wouldn't have realized she was even a main character if not for the show telling me that.

Also all the girls in this show look like dudes in drag. I have no idea why this is because it's animated by JC Staff, who usually have very cute girls in their shows. And to make matters worse, the cast is about 95% female so it's like one big never-ending drag queen contest. Speaking of the animation, it is... okay. It's alright but the overabundance of CGI irks me to no end. It was even worse about it's CGI than Tokyo Ravens was, which is saying something.

The music is actually the best part of the show. Both the OP and ED are great, especially the ED which is insanely catchy. And the battle music and even some of the dramatic tracks are actually really easy on the ears. I just wish the music belonged to a show that didn't suck so much ass.

Really, this is a bad show. The premise is boring, the characters are flat as a piece of construction paper and there's way too many of them for a single cour show. The plot goes in circles, the lead girl is such a ridiculously overpowered Mary Sue it isn't even funny (there is an explanation for it, but that doesn't make it any less stupid). Blandy stays useless throughout even after he decides to get magic training and none of the characters have much of any real motivations behind their actions.

It started off as a show that I could have some dumb fun mocking early on but past the halfway mark became an insufferably boring chore to sit through. My recommendation is to listen to the OP and ED on Youtube and skip out on the show itself. It really isn't worth it.
