I'll try to keep this review short, since it's only three episodes. Without any spoilers, let me break it down by each one.

     The first episode is episode 0, which is about how Yukina/Natsume, Aoi, and Kazura first meet each other. It's the Sakurai's first case, and while difficult to find subbed (which I personally prefer), still a great watch. If you liked Night Raid 1931, there's no reason you shouldn't like this episode as well. That being said, I don't know if you should watch this episode as the first one, since that might take away from some of the enjoyment of it. However, it's not confusing, so could make for a good introduction.

     The second special (episode 7.5) is more of an introduction to the final one, since it covers the depression faced by civilians. The farmers are particularly hard-hit and I believe this episode serves to set up the actual history behind the events of the show. I think it may be safe to skip, but is an ok watch if you choose to watch it. Searching for it is  another story: I stumbled on it looking instead for the final special, episode 14 (tell them apart by the opening-14 starts with a black panther's stare, the other with a butterfly). To make matters worse, this episode has no number (occurred sometime before episode 11, though), so good luck finding it!

     The third and final special (episode 14) is the truly great one. A sort of epilogue, this episode ties up all the loose ends and gives a satisfying answer to all the questions raised in episode 13. I found this one on a free anime site, but I've heard there is a dubbed version on Netflix. This episode is a definite must-see, so, however you find it, you have to watch it!
